From 6th to 8th May the City of Arts and Sciences will be hosting the third Spanish Global Champions Tour Grand Prix / Banco Sabadell Trophy. The director general of the complex, Pedro Garcia Ribot, pointed out that the upcoming celebration of this Grand Prix "means the consolidation of an event which since its first year has managed to attract the public due to the surroundings and the quality of the competition."
The presentation of the Spanish GCT 2011 GP was also attended by the head of the Valencia City Council Sports Department, Cristobal Grau, the director of Banco Sabadell’s Valencia Area, Ramon Reche, the CEO of Oxer (the company that owns the rights to organise this competition in Spain), Álvaro Arrieta, and the international horse-rider, Cayetano Martínez de Irujo.
Pedro Garcia Ribot said of this competition that "in addition to generating wealth and promoting the Valencia Region," it also has "a social side that is well received, since it is not only an elite sport with the best horsemen and women in the world but it also hosts an educational leisure area, the Horse Garden (Jardín del Caballo), where the little ones and their families can discover the equestrian world for free.”
